I. Understand the Basic Principals of Life

A. Design
1. How am I put together?
2. What are my strengths?
3. What are my weaknesses?
4. What are the “unchangeables” (genetic predispositions)
5. Develop self-acceptance and the habit of liking yourself

B. Authority
1. What is the correct response to those in charge (no one is exempt; everyone has a boss
2. How do I work as team to achieve the objectives set by person in authority?
3. How do I set goals in alignment with objectives of my employer?

C. Responsibility: It is my responsibility to develop control over my:
1. Thoughts
2. Words
3. Actions
4. Attitudes
5. Motives

D. Problem Solving
1. Understand your resources
2. Know which people you can go to for good advice
3. How can I best solve a problem in an appropriate manner?
4. What is the underlying cause of a problem you are having?

E. Emotional Management- Learn to Overcome:
1. Anger issues
2. Depression
3. Stress
4. Bitterness
5. The triggers of my negative emotions

F. Develop Better Moral Character
1. Understand that this is of PRIMARY importance because we
are the second most influential role models the students have
after their parents and grandparents
2. Develop POSITIVE character qualities in yourself that you
expect your students to have such as respect, responsibility,
compliance, trustworthiness, caring, diligence, kindness,
citizenship, etc.
2. Set good priorities
3. Develop effective time management
4. Develop better people skills
5. Learn how to behave at all times PROFESSIONALLY
And APPROPRIATELY in the workplace

G Develop Proactivity
1. Learn to anticipate problems before they occur and be prepared
with your best response
2. Take steps to prevent likely problems from taking place

H. Personal and Professional Growth: We require continual growth in:
1. Wisdom
2. Knowledge
3. Understanding of others
4. Desire for change
5. Spirit of adventure
6. Spiritual renewal

I. Understand the Body and Mind Connection
1. Take your physical heatlth seriously (exercise and diet)
2. Take measures to maintain a healthy psyche (read, get therapy, do not neglect the religious aspects of your life, primary relationships in your life with family members are the MOST important ones- You must PUT THE TIME IN
3. Others are counting on you!

J. Develop Peace of Mind
1. Do I have a clear conscience?
2. Have I done everything I can do to make things rignt?
3. Do I look for validation for my thoughts, words, or actions?
4. Do I talk about others to shift responsiblity rather than maintain a focus on myself?
5. Have I begun with the end that I desire in mind?

K. Learn to Change
1. Change is a step of faith
2. Change is painful
3. Change requires patience
4. I will revisit old behaviors
5. I must be willing
6. Think positively
7. I must be flexible
8. I must understand my motives
9. Change is a prerequisite for greatness
10. Change will strengthen my character

L. Acquire True Wisdom
1. Have the right priorities in life- recognize that life should
not be based on materialism
2. Have integrity- Your actions should always line up with your words
3. Be able to resist the temptation to do something expediently and involve yourself with people who lack morals because you desire something so much
4. Never waste time arguing with a fool
5. Always seek to truly listen and understand rather than wait for others to listen and understand you
6. Be able to see life from another person’s perspective and then work together with that person to see life from both your perspectives
